About the Maker:
Ludwig Ratzinger was born in Bavaria, Germany, where he grew up in a family owned bakery business. After
apprenticing in pastry in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Business School, then a bakery in Landsberg, he came
to Canada in 1990. He worked at the Chateau Laurier from 1991-1999, the Governor General’s residence
in 2000, and ran a catering business and taught cooking and baking throughout the region, before
launching Fine Chocolate by Ludwig handmade artisanal chocolate. Learn more about Ludwig’s story here.
